Professor Grahame Smith will lead discussion of William Thackeray’s Vanity Fair. There will be eight weekly one-hour meetings in the Lecture Theatre on Wednesdays at 12 noon, starting on Wednesday 2 October. The preferred edition is in the Oxford World’s Classics series and is edited by Helen Small. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available before the meetings, from 11:40 am. Each meeting costs £3:50 per person; tickets for the whole series bought at the beginning cost £24:50.
