Friends of the Smith Lecture: The King’s Body Guard for Scotland, The Royal Company Of Archers

The Royal Company of Archers functions as the Sovereign’s ‘Body Guard in Scotland’. At the request of HM The King, it performs duties at State and ceremonial occasions in Scotland. Its members must be Scots or have strong Scottish connections. As Secretary of the Archers, Colonel Charlie Wallace is ideally placed to explain the Royal Company’s role and its history.
Colonel Charles Wallace is Secretary of the Royal Company of Archers. His 35 years’ Army service included active service in Iraq and Afghanistan, with the UN in the Former Yugoslavia, and in Northern Ireland during Operation Banner.
All lectures take place at the Smith, at Dumbarton Road, Stirling, on Wednesdays at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm)
Admission is by cash at the door and includes tea or coffee and biscuits afterwards

£2 for students, on production of a valid student ID card
